Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, And Pensions Committee, announced today that he will put forward an appropriations amendment that would increase funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other units with the Department of Health and Human Services as well as programs within the Department of Education and Department of Labor. United for Medical Research, a coalition of of leading research institutions, patient and health advocates, and private industry working together to seek steady increases in funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) noted this announcement from Senator Harkin and its positive impact on reversing some aspects of sequestration.
Roger Wood
Roger has worked in research administration including pre-award, compliance, conflicts of interest, animal facility and recharge center management, and information systems for more than 25 years. His focus in recent years has been on electronic research information systems, working since 2006 with InfoEd Global and its client institutions in his role as Associate Vice President for Product Management.
