The Times Higher Education Top 100 Universities Under 50 years old was released recently for 2013 and revealed some good results and improvement for institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2013, 6 of the top 20 institutions are from the Asia-Pacific region, the same as in 2012. Whilst none of these are from Australia or New Zealand, these countries each have 13 and 2 in the top 100 respectively.
The average overall score of those Australian and New Zealand institutions in the 2013 list also significantly improved from scores in 2012. Australian institution scores improved by 9.3 points on average. The average score of the 2 New Zealand institutions on the list improved by 7.2 points.
