The InfoEd 2011 User Group Meeting

The InfoEd 2011 User Group Meeting (UGM) is quickly approaching – May 22 through 25. This year’s event will be at the beautiful Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs, New York. Also, this year marks 20 years of business and in commemoration, we have planned an extraordinary event for you. Over the coming months we will share some of our exciting plans to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, so I will not bother you with those details here.

I would, however, like to talk about the focus of this meeting – which is you, the user!

As always, we strive to make these meetings as productive and informative as possible. Your feedback and participation has been central to our continued improvement of this annual event.

We know, for example, based upon your feedback, that one of the most desirable elements of our User Group Meetings is hearing from colleagues and friends.

It is that perspective and experience, users speaking to other users, that is the most powerful and helpful part of the UGM. InfoEd has plenty to say, but it is your voice that attendees/users want to hear.

Keeping the UGM user- focused, I am asking you to offer your expertise, experience and insight by volunteering to participate as a presenter. If you have ideas for the agenda, or would like to volunteer to make a presentation, please contact Kimberly Johnson kjohnson@infoed.org.

UGM attendees are your friends and peers. You have met them before – they are your family – so please do not be shy! It matters much more that you participate and that others hear your knowledge. That is, after all, what other users are asking for – more of you!

I know these things take time; time most of you do not have. So if you think you may have interest, please call me! I can help with presentations, topics, ideas – anything at all. The entire InfoEd family is here to support you.

I look forward to hearing from you now, and at the 2011 User Group Meeting.

Thanks,
Eddie
