US Treasury is Seeking your ideas… on DATA Standards

The Treasury Department is looking for input “on several data standards topics and questions, specifically on data exchange, to better ensure the data standards to be established by Treasury and OMB are informed and useful, and to ensure compliance with DATA Act consultation requirements.”

These data standards will be used to post federal-wide spending data – as required by FFATA – in a “consistent, reliable and searchable” manner on USASpending.gov or a successor website.

Treasury posted their Notice for collecting public input on 9/26 in the Federal Register (https://federalregister.gov/a/2014-22997). Comments may be submitted through November 25, 2014 by mail or via Regulations.gov. [Note, the Notice doesn’t appear to be posted yet at Regulations.gov – it will be available under docket: FISCAL-2014-0004.]
