The USDA National Agricultural Library, Animal Welfare Information Center provides numerous database links to guide researchers and animal use boards in determining the best way to find alternative testing models to reflect their commitment to the 3Rs (Replacement, Refinement, and Reduction). One of the Animal Welfare Act’s goals is to minimize pain and distress of research animals.
