New Zealand Clinical Trials Website Now Available

The New Zealand Ministry of Health has launched a new website “Clinical Trials“, to inform the public about ongoing and completed clinical trials.  Users can search for keywords that are included in the titles of the clinical trials, and will be presented with search results of completed, terminated, closed: follow-up complete, active: not recuiting, not yet recruiting, or recruiting trials.  There are areas entitled “Risks and Benefits”, “Knowing the lingo” and an “About” section that details different aspects of the clinical trials process.  Additionally, there are links for Clinicians, Researchers, Industry, and a Resource Centre.  The site is supported by regional District Health Boards and the New Zealand Health Innovation Hub (NZHIH) is responsible for the creation of the Clinical Trails Portal website.  The site is very similar to the US version, supported by the NIH, clinicaltrials.gov.
