New members join the National Biodefense Science Board

The National Biodefense Science Board (NBSB) is receiving new experts from outside the federal government, to replace existing members whose terms are ending.  This board was created under the Pandemic and All-hazards Preparedness Act of 2006, and chartered in 2007.  The board serves to advise the DHHS Secretary and Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response regarding preventing, preparing for, and responding to adverse health effects of public health emergencies.  Board information is available here.
