Micky Tripathi, President and CEO of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, wrote a detailed account of a security breach that was inadvertently caused by an employee of his consulting company. While the breach did not involve research data, the lessons learned from the incident may be instructive for clinical investigators as well as research administrators.
