InfoEd and Symplectic, LTD., Announce Collaboration for Integrated Expertise and Research Administration Solution

Symplectic Elements Software Integration to Deliver Solution for Research Quality Administration

In an effort to deliver the optimum software solution for Research Administration, InfoEd International, Inc. today announced new integrations with Symplectic’s software solution – including Elements, Symplectic’s flagship bibliographic and research data management software – for seamless interoperability with InfoEd’s research administration software suite.

This initiative will bring together the robust capabilities of InfoEd’s Enterprise Research Administration Software with Symplectic’s innovative Elements Software: A solution designed to make publications, research management, and research quality exercises a simple process for academics and managers alike. The combination will enhance the research administration process and provide data sharing across systems to deliver a comprehensive research software solution for Institutions.

“InfoEd is committed to delivering a comprehensive best-of-breed research administration software solution to meet the evolving needs of the industry. By combining the expertise and commitment of our respective companies, we will deliver a tool to researchers and administrators to improve the grant, research output, and reporting process,” said Edward Johnson, Jr., President of InfoEd. “The synergies of our complementary software products will enable institutions to manage the complete research life-cycle from project initiation through publication for research quality administration.”

The integration with Symplectic will create seamless access to Symplectic’s software within the InfoEd product suite, leveraging the synergies of two leading edge products. Integrations are typically costly both in time and money. Redundancy of information stored creates inefficiencies and is difficult to maintain long-term. This collaboration will enable the mutual clients of InfoEd and Symplectic to leverage the powers and strengths of the respective systems while alleviating the burdens of integration and data sharing. The Open Architecture of the products allows for this to be done easily and reliably, delivering a comprehensive research administration management system.

“Symplectic Elements is software designed by academics for academics,” said Daniel Hook, Managing Director of Symplectic Ltd. “One of our main aims at Symplectic is to reduce the administrative burden on academics while giving administrators the data that they need. We are pleased to be collaborating with InfoEd to help academics spend more time on their research and less time on administration”
