I’m not sure that most research administrators have noticed, but there is a major migration going on within the US federal government – IT systems are moving into the cloud. Yesterday, word came that the General Services Administration awarded a contract to begin moving its public web presence into the could. This includes the Data.gov and USA.gov websites.
