CDC publishes MMWR Summary of Notifiable Diseases — United States, 2010

The CDC has posted the latest Summary of Notifiable Diseases, which contains data for the year 2010.  According to the CDC, “A notifiable disease is one for which regular, frequent, and timely information regarding individual cases is considered necessary for the prevention and control of the disease.”  A historical list of these infections reports is available here.  Current case definitions are available here, which list reportable diseases and confirmation methods.
