Animal Facilities Management Module Implementation

Over the past several months, our Animal Facilities Management (AFM) module has been the subject of intense examination and development work. The University of Western Australia will implement AFM in late spring, and they will use our Lab Animal Module to drive the animal-based research at their institute. This is an excellent example of how our modules can work together to provide solutions for compliance.

The AFM module functions as an inventory tracking system to follow the approval of animal usage, the procurement of animals, their housing, care and use. Researchers can track animal movement within the system (births, deaths, usage) as well as order procedures to be performed by the facility staff. Our system will direct the day-to-day husbandry and facility tasks that users will employ to run a facility. In addition, functionality to provide animal use training and animal-associated billing will come on-line as development proceeds.
